From curriculum links, to wellbeing, to growing food, to waste reduction, we will cover some of the many reasons gardens are an integral piece of the education puzzle.
We will look at:
- What your school is currently doing within specialty areas and year levels and how some of these could be enhanced by utilising your school garden.
- The key curriculum strand of Sustainability and how it can be central to your garden.
- How your school can save money and even make money through the garden.
- How your school can get assistance to transform your garden to aid your curriculum and the wellbeing of students.
Whether your school is a concrete jungle with only a dream of a garden, or it has an established garden program, this workshop will have something for all schools.
Practical ideas & skills for School Gardens will be hosted by James McLennan, VSGP Facilitator from Grassroots Sustainability.
Teachers, parents, grounds staff, admin, school leadership are welcome to attend.
