Nursery Production / Site Manager Roles

Paradisia Nurseries is a leading wholesale nursery producing a large range of specialty plant lines. 

We are currently seeking Nursery Production/Site Managers for our facilities in Narre Warren North at Paradisia. We have two positions available, which can be taken separately or combined, depending on the applicant's abilities.
The responsibilities for these roles include overseeing the Indoor and Collectable Plants department, managing production schedules, and ensuring the efficient management of stock. Similarly, for the Cacti and Succulents department, the responsibilities align closely with those of the Indoor Plants department.

Applicants should possess a strong understanding of the product ranges or demonstrate a keen interest in horticulture, as training will be provided as needed. The roles will involve comprehensive management of stock from propagation to sales, as well as collaboration with sales managers to meet their requirements and schedules. Additionally, responsibilities will include staff management, developing schedules, and analyzing productivity.

Applicants need to be physically fit, self-motivated, pro-active and able to work and make decisions without supervision. The role will progressively expand as the successful applicant masters our product types and may also include expanding and improving product lines currently being developed by the company. 
• Sound knowledge, experience and genuine interest in horticulture.
• Ability to efficiently manage and maintain nursery stock on a viable commercial basis.
• Ability to work with and manage a diverse range of employees 

Business hours are 7.30am to 4pm Mon-Fri.
Candidates will be assessed on previous experience and how they can best contribute to the growth of the company and future developments. Remuneration will be based on experience and ability.
