Connecting People to Plants and Landscapes

Sustainable landscape design should aim to provide spaces for respectful and enriching relationships between human society and the natural world. Designing for children, the aged, for healing or for the wider community - all of these created, natural landscapes have different implications and challenges to consider during the design process to enhance health and well-being. This event will outline the research and design considerations for creating outdoor, nature-based spaces that make for sustainable and healthy communities.

The event will be held at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, the southern hemisphere’s largest horticultural event. This year’s show promises to be an immersion of all senses: with stunning show gardens, spectacular floral installations, interactive workshops, expert talks, tantalising food experiences, live entertainment, hundreds of plant retailers and of course, the captivating scent of thousands of flowers.

Your ticket will include entry to the workshop, the Melbourne International Flower and Garden show as well as lunch.
