Join us for the March Tree & Shrub Growers Meeting as we head to the stunning Alowyn Gardens in Yarra Glen.

You are all welcome to join the March Tree & Shrub Growers Meeting at the stunning Alowyn Gardens. Situated in Yarra Glen in the heart of the fertile Yarra Valley, a visit to NGIV members, Alowyn Gardens and Nursery, is a real treat.

The evening will start with a guided tour of the gardens from one of the owners, John Van de Linde, followed by a stunning dinner and drinks in beautiful surrounds. 

The gardens have received much acclaim and has been awarded ABC's Garden of the Year.  Set on 4 acres, the garden is designed along strong symmetrical lines that become blurred by the softness of the spaces and the grace of the trees. There are 8 clearly defined gardens on the grounds – a parterre garden, forest garden, perennial border, an edible garden, display gardens, a dry garden and a French-style garden. Through all of this runs a wisteria and 100 metre, rose-covered arbour with a sunken rose garden and classical fountain as a centre piece.
