August Trade Day Cancelled

After a lot of consideration, it is with regret that the NGIV Board have decided to cancel our August Trade Day due to the COVID-19 virus. The recent spike in positive test results in Victoria and the increased restrictions introduced through Stage 3, were key factors in this decision.

Despite NGIV developing comprehensive COVID-19, OH&S and Risk Management Plans, the Board have reached the conclusion that it would be irresponsible to the community as a whole to proceed. Not only is there a potential risk to the health and safety of our attendees, but proceeding could also jeopardise the Industry’s current ability to trade.

This decision relates only to our August Trade Day at this stage. We look forward to our Spring Trade Day in September with a sense of optimism and will assess it's viablity nearer the time.

We understand that for many businesses NGIV Trade Day represents a signficant opportunity to move and acquire stock. Here are some recommendations which may help you in this moment;

- NGIV Members take advantage of free access to EvergreenConnect.

- Buyers make contact with your suppliers to inquire about securing stock and delivery

- Suppliers make contact with your buyers to make them aware of stock and delivery

- Contact plant freight providers for delivery options (Rangeview Transport  and Bilotto)

We would like to take the opportunity to remind everyone to continue operating your business within guidelines from the Victorian Government. We are all in this together and one business doing the wrong thing has the potential to have a negative impact on the entire Industry.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries relating to the cancellation of our August Trade Day.

We appreciate your patience and your ongoing support.

Kind regards,

Simon Gomme
