Geoff has been involved in some form of teaching, research or advisory role for the nursery industry since 1980. He is a private consultant in Sydney and regularly provides advice on soilless media and plant nutrition to nurseries, greenhouse growers and to the fledgling green roof/wall industry. His clients have included Karignan Plantations, Boomaroo Nursery (VIC), Benara Nursery (WA and Indonesia), Scotts Australia and TAFE NSW. Geoff has conducted a wide range of research relevant to the nursery industry including on CRF’s, water and nutrient runoff reduction, coir, zeolite and leaf, sap and water testing. He has recently completed studies on the benefits of silicon and of introduced soil biology on plant health, growth and stress resistance. Geoff enjoys the challenge of sifting through research to find what is commercially useful and demystifying technical information for growers. More speakers to be announced!
