Provide First Aid (HLTAID003)
Provide First Aid is the minimum requirement for workplace first aid compliance. This course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other First Aiders until emergency qualified help arrives at the scene of the accident.

This course is delivered in a 5.5 hour class (plus pre-course online theory).

This course covers the management of:

Roles and responsibilities of the First Aider
The DRSABCD action plan and responding to emergency situations
Managing unconscious casualties
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Using a defibrillator (AED)
Legal issues in First Aid
Infection control
Diabetes
Heart attack
Asthma
Anaphylaxis
Wound and bleeding management
Burns
Fractures and dislocations
Sprains and strains
