5-day HSR Initial OHS Training Course

This workshop is essential for any workplace needing a designated and accredited OH&S supervisor. It will cover the major risk areas and detail simple and practical solutions to address these.

NGIV is pleased to offer members the opportunity to complete the 5-day HSR Initial OHS Training Course (CRN: 21626)

This WorkSafe course is designed to enable Health and Safety Representatives (HSR's) to understand and effectively exercise their powers and entitlements under the OHS Act 2004. Managers and Supervisors may also find this course beneficial.

Outcomes:

Interpreting the Occupational Health and Safety legislative framework and its relationship to the HSR
Identifying key parties and their legislative obligations and duties
Establishing representation in the workplace
Participating in consultation and issue resolution
Issuing a Provisional Improvement Notice (PIN) and directing the cessation of work.

Requirements:

Pen and notebook.
There are no pre-requisites for this course.
You must attend all 5 days to complete the course.

It should be noted as per Section 67 of the 2004 OHS Act all elected HSR's are entitled to take the WorkSafe Victoria approved OHS training for HSR's and choose their training course in consultation with their employer.

Holmesglen is approved to deliver the WorkSafe HSR Initial OHS training course.

A certificate and card are issued upon completion of the course.
