The NGIV plays an active and responsible role in the area of invasive plants. We do this by working with a range of key stakeholders to communicate important messages about invasive garden plants to industry, the gardening consumers and other key stakeholders.
In Victoria regulations and management of invasive plants is the responsibility of the Department of Primary Industries and Department of Sustainability and environment. nursery industry is aware of the significance of invasive plants and the impact that they have on the environment.
