State Based Information on the Movement of Plants

Interstate plant movement can be complicated but it is the responsibility of the people shipping plants to make sure that they are fully conversant with the regulations that apply in the area that you are shipping the plants. You can not rely on information supplied by the various state governments. It is in your best interest to call the relevant authority in the destination state to ensure what you are planning to ship/do is all legal.

DPI Plant Standards (VIC) is the agent that will assist you in shipping plants interstate. The authorities from other states rely on Plant Standards to act as their agents in Victoria. They are the responsible authority for ensuring you have the appropriate paperwork in place and are adhering to the local protocols in your destination state.
