The nursery and garden industry is full of enthusiastic, successful young people, who will shape the future of the industry. Now NGIV has launched a forum for 18 to 35 year-olds to meet, exchange ideas and hone leadership skills.
NextGen Nursery People is an NGIV initiative to help future leaders meet their peers and form useful networks. Launched earlier in 2006, NextGen has already received strong support from both employers and young people interested in joining the group.
The group meets for lunch every three months and guest speakers address issues relevant to group members during each of these meetings. A number of other events, including business workshops, motivational sessions, nursery tours and weekend camps are also in the planning.
NextGen Nursery People is a unique opportunity for young Victorian nursery people to form invaluable networks, learn more about the industry and to have fun.
