Potential Energy Savings for NGIV Members

NGIV is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Smart Power to act as its preferred energy consultants. Under the energy procurement and management offer, Smart Power will provide NGIV members with a vehicle to manage and reduce costs in relation to energy bills.

Smart Power has over 25 years’ experience working with commercial consumers such as Vodafone, Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce and Glen Eira City Council in securing competitive energy contracts, as well as providing advice and training on energy-related matters. This service will now extend to NGIV full members. Smart Power is completely independent and not affiliated with any retailer and, as such, work in the best interests of their clients, which now includes NGIV members.

As NGIV’s preferred energy consultants, Smart Power will aim to secure the best available pricing for NGIV members through its buying group philosophy. Individual member businesses would not generally have sufficient leverage to negotiate preferential pricing from their suppliers. By packaging together the total requirements of members, however, NGIV, along with Smart Power, can create an attractive proposition for retail energy suppliers. These suppliers are subsequently more inclined to offer bulk discounted rates to NGIV members.

We encourage members to register their initial interest here with Smart Power. (Please note that this is an indication of interest only and not binding.)

Smart Power will collate and analyse the data before presenting the usage figures to energy retailers via a tender process. This will request the retailer’s best offer to supply NGIV’s small market (<160,000kWh pa usage) and large market (> 160,000kWh pa) electricity buying groups.

Disclaimer: Upon being part of the tender process NGIV members are not obligated to accept Smart Power’s offer. Should a retail energy provider be appointed by Smart Power on behalf of members, a facilitation commission will be paid to Smart Power and NGIV.
